The Newport East Row Garden Walk is the major fund raiser for the East Row Garden Club. We use the proceeds to sponsor projects that beautify the East Row Historic District and the city of Newport. We create and maintain the flower displays in planters throughout the neighborhood, support a community garden, and sponsor the Fall tree plantings in the city.
Chris and John's garden was one of the featured gardens on the East Row Garden Walk the first weekend of June. It was a great motivator to get our garden ready early, and we enjoyed sharing it with the hundreds of people that walked through! Now we get to sit back, relax, and enjoy the fruits of our labor!
The front yard, with a new path, and bench for watching the world go by!
Gertie the Gargoyle guarding the garden! The spotted plant is Lungwort.
A Lavender Patio Tree we got at Costco to fill the space at the last minute!
This is a Fine Line Buckthorn tree.
Happy-to-have-it-done garden owners!
